Green Man Weekend
Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May – 10am to 4pm
This year is the 9th annual Green Man event here at the park and will be a fantastic mix of entertainment provided by local bands circus acts, morris dancers, re-enactment groups and much more to keep you entertained.
Once again traditional family activities will be running throughout the event along with food and craft stalls. Wood turning crafts in the Barrow Centre, bouncy castles, a beer tent, and the obligatory hog roast. Lots of fun for visitors of all ages!
Ample parking is available very close to the event and free transport will be running to transport visitors between the car parks, the event and the Barrow Centre. There will also be the regular Cremyll Ferry service allowing regular crossing opportunities from Plymouth.
There is a charge for all-day car parking but the event itself is free for all to enjoy. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and follow the progress of the Green Man as he grows.

The UK’s best celebration of adventure travel is returning to Mount Edgcumbe Country Park in Cornwall!
#AAF23 was our biggest and best festival yet so we’re sticking with our summer dates for #AAF24! This years festival will run from 15:00 on 25th July to 15:00 Sunday 28th July. It will be jam packed with more talks, activities and live music than ever before and be another gigantic celebration of adventure travel!
As always the weekend will be centred around inspiring tales of adventure from some of the world’s leading adventurers. In 2023, we had tales from a man who accidentally invented white water rafting while completing the first descent of the Nile in the 1960s and a woman who ran a marathon in Antarctica dressed as a frozen pea, who knows what crazy tales of adventure will have in 2024!?
On top of that there will be more fun activities to get involved in than ever before. Whether it’s kayaking up the Tamar or sailing around Drake’s Island, we’ll be making the most of the UK’s National Marine Park in Plymouth Sound which is just a five minute walk from the festival.

This ever popular event is back for another year!
Entry to the show is completely FREE although parking charges do apply, so fill your car with family and friends and join us for a great day out!
The event features over 800 cars of all marques, Mount Edgcumbe Classic & American Car Show is the biggest annual event held at this beautiful country park!
Not just a car show, the summer fair has something for everyone – from local crafts, artisan food & beverages and a fairground to keep the children entertained, we even have a popular car boot section.

This event is only possible with the generous help of a huge team of volunteers. If you think that you, or anyone you know, would be willing and able to help us on the day then please get in touch with Cornwall Hospice Care.
The Charities
This event supports 2 important local charities:
Cornwall Hospice Care run the only 2 adult hospices in Cornwall and are almost entirely reliant on donations and fundraising events like this one. £20 will help to fund an hour of nursing care for our patients and their families here in our local community.
The Friends of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park are a local charity consisting of like-minded people who love the Park and wish to see it preserved and improved for the enjoyment of all.
