A Ride-On Miniature Railway and Model Railway Exhibition.

Built and operated by a group of enthusiasts, this beautiful 5″ gauge railway operates in the Lower Park at Mount Edgcumbe

We operate on most Sundays, Thursdays (between Easter and the end of September) and special events in the park, obviously dependent on the weather.

The miniature railway is a 5 inch gauge railway that takes passengers. We have steam and electric trains and run both as often as we can. You will generally find an electric train called the “Pirate Puffer”,  that has become a favourite among our younger passengers and a new diesel locomotive called the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe.

Behind the Barrow Centre in the Saw Mill there are model railway layouts based on most modelling scales from Lego through 00 to garden railway size that includes G Scale and Gauge 1. This is currently being updated and is closed but will reopen soon.
