British Firework Championships
12th and 13th August 2026
Come and enjoy the British Firework Championships on Plymouth Hoe from right here at Mount Edgcumbe. Parking is available from 6pm for a donation. Disabled parking only is available at Barn Pool, all other parking is on the Deer Park, please follow signs and directions from the staff.
If parking on Deer Park, please wear sensible shoes and bring a torch as you need to walk from the parking area. We ask you remove all you rubbish from site as it is a danger to wildlife and the environment.
Ravenness Forge – Grand Opening
15th August 2026 – 9am to 4pm
Come and step inside our traditional Cornish blacksmith’s forge and celebrate the beginning of a new chapter. Step back in time and discover the blacksmith’s forge. Experience the sights, sounds and traditions of a working forge.

• Meet the blacksmith
• Watch live forging demonstrations
• Have a go at making your own simple forged item (45 minute bookable sessions £20pp over 18s only)
• Browse handcrafted items
• Learn about upcoming blacksmithing workshops and trauma release boxing classes
• A warm welcome!
Whether you’re curious about blacksmithing, looking for a unique experience, or simply want to see the forge, everyone is welcome.

St Lukes Hospice ‘Guiding Lights’ Exhibition – Brought to you by St Lukes Hospice
1st – 15th September 2026
As part of the Guiding Lights Trail currently in Plymouth, there will be an exhibition of the smaller ‘Lights’ here at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. The exhibition will be in the Belvedere Room (above the Farriers Cafe) in the Barrow Centre daily from 9am to 4pm.
