Latest update from the Mount Edgcumbe Cricket Team
At one point today Ben’s batting average stood at 310, then next ball it came crashing down to 155!
Again batting first we scored over 200 runs, with 50 plus partnerships for both the 1st and 2nd wickets. Jon was the only person to reach 50 off 47 balls in 46 minutes, he was eventually out for 78. He had good partnerships with Ben, who scored 41 and Chris 31. Knocks of 22 from Tom and a cameo of 23* off 12 balls from Andrew, saw us declare when Dan was bowled for 6.
Wickets fell steadily, with Jon picking up the first wicket when he was brought on to allow the opening bowlers to swap ends and Dave picking up a couple. A rush of 3 wickets in three overs all from Andrew gave us brief hope but the last three overs were played with out incident and the game ended in a draw. The other wicket taker on the day was Dan.
