On a pitch that was responsible for claiming several wickets on both sides, we were chasing 240 to win, batting after tea.
We got off to a reasonable start having them 2 down for 31 and 4 down for 83, but they rallied to 239 for 9 at close. Tom Vowler, the pick of the bowlers, picking up four wickets.
Batting stuttered with Andrew and Ben both going cheaply and before long found ourselves 94 for 6 with a long way to go, Luke held the innings together, his fifty off 43 balls in 59 mins before he was dismissed for 65, including 3 sixes. Tom P and Tom V contributed with 6 boundaries and Alan smashed 37, including best of the season 7th wicket stand of 69 with Luke, and 10th wkt partnership with George of 27. Alan was last out with our score on 192.
