Latest update from the Mount Edgcumbe Cricket Team
A game that followed a similar pattern to last weeks, set us a target of over two hundred to win, we finished on 174 for 7 to draw the match.
Good bowling by Josh, except for the last over, which went for 17, saw him pick up another 3 wickets (I wish he would sort out the stutter at the start of the run up). Dave also bowled well, even thought the ball was not spinning and picked up 2 for 24 including a caught and bowled. Wes took another catch but also dropped one and the batsmen went on to score another 97 runs! He has some batting to do. At tea PCO had set a target of 226 to win.
A solid opening partnership, the best of the season of 86 by Ben and Tom, who both played well finding the centre of the bat, both in defence and attack. Ben went on to score 55 (his 50 off 53 balls in 74 mins) including the two sixes the first of the season, Tom was bowled for 27. Richard playing sensibly in his first game of the season for 37* guided us to a deserved draw.
