A good day, the yellow warning of rain did not materialise, and a good game with 370 plus runs being scored in the drawn game.
Wombats batted first and after loosing 3 wickets for 10 runs when the score was 45 built steadily to 206 at tea with A Chapman top scoring on 71*. Josh and Tom took 5 wickets between them with Luke and Dave picking up one apiece.
In reply Chris carried his bat for 67, a PB and the first 50 of the season, forming the backbone of our innings. We were going well on 47 without lose when Andrew pulled a muscle and had to retire. Ably supported by Dave and Rob W we reached 168 when the overs ran out. We were just missing that injection of thirty run from Tom and Rob L which on the day did not happen.
