Over 500 years of family history in the historic home of the Earl’s of Mount Edgcumbe immersing you in the history of centuries of the Edgcumbe family.

Join us in the costume room at the House and take a walk in our costume through this 16th century property learning about the residents from times gone by from one of our experienced stewards.

Meander through the Earl’s Garden, a private retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  Visit the Barrow Centre and explore the historic Sawmill or spend some time in the shops, galleries and workshops to find a perfect memento of your visit.

Explore the lovingly maintained formal gardens in the lower park and stroll along part of the South West Coastal footpath as you enjoy views of the River Tamar and Plymouth Sound little culinary delight at the Farriers Café or Orangery Garden Café.

The following group booking terms and conditions apply.
Group bookings of 10 or more people – drivers refreshment voucher up to the value of £10 can be redeemed at the Farriers Cafe. The voucher will be issued on arrival by the ticket office at the House.
Cancellation Policy
Please note – cancellation of a booking requires 48 hours notice. Less than 48 hours will result in a cancellation fee of £100 being charged.
