Tai Chi for Beginners
Join this brand new class here at Mount Edgcumbe held every Wednesday over six weeks. You will learn the foundation techniques of traditional Tai Chi whilst mastering simple excersises, breathing and meditation techniques which will aid improved fitness, health and wellbeing. The course is operated by Plymouth Tai Chi. Camellia Walk
This is an opportunity to join the Curator of the National Camellia Collection, held by Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, on a conducted tour of the collection that currently numbers approximately 1,000 cultivars. Meeting at Dry Walk Car Park tickets costs £5.00 p.p. Suitable walking shoes and clothing is a must on this outdoor adventure.

Hats and Flowers Crochet Workshop
Learn how to create a basic beanie hat, and how to make flowers to decorate it with. You will need to bring 3 – 3.5 mm hook and 70 – 100 gms of double knit yarn in a colour of your choice. A variety of colours will be provided to create a contrasting flower with which to embellish your hat when finished. Places limited, so booking is essential. Tickets £15.00 p.p.

Green Man Event
The giant figure of the Green Man returns to Mount Edgcumbe as a centre piece looming over the event sitting on his throne of leaves and bark – he will be presiding over stalls, entertainment, refreshments and lots of activities. Entry to the event is free of charge- all day parking £5 per vehicle.

Going Bats at Mount Edgcumbe
Join us for a nocturnal adventure and let our colonies of bats be your guide. With rare species calling Mount Edgcumbe home, you could be in for a real treat with this expedition. Meeting on the terrace at the front of the house at 8pm, the walk will take approx. 2-3 hours and finish off with hot soup and cost £5.00 p.p. Please make sure that you wrap up warm and wear suitable footwear for the walk.

The Metta Catharina von Flensburg
Learn all about the wreck of the 18th century brigantine, lost off the coast of Mount Edgcumbe in 1786 carrying a precious cargo of leather.
